Frightened Rabbit

FRIGHTENED RABBIT: The Scottish quartet with a knack for blending introspective lyrics with infectious indie hooks.

Hailing from Selkirk, FRIGHTENED RABBIT burst onto the music scene in 2006 with their debut album, "Sing the Greys." Frontman Scott Hutchison's raw and emotionally charged songwriting quickly caught the attention of music lovers around the world.

Their follow-up album, "The Midnight Organ Fight," solidified their place in the indie music landscape. Tracks like "Keep Yourself Warm" and "The Modern Leper" showcased the band's ability to tackle heavy subject matter with a wry sense of humour and irresistible melodies.

With each subsequent release, including "The Winter of Mixed Drinks" and "Pedestrian Verse," FRIGHTENED RABBIT continued to evolve their sound while staying true to their roots. Their music has a way of making you feel like you're sitting down for a heart-to-heart with an old friend, albeit one who can also rock out on stage like nobody's business.

Tragically, the band's journey came to a heartbreaking end with the passing of Scott Hutchison in 2018. His lyrics, which have always been marked by a poignant mix of vulnerability and resilience, now carry an even greater weight.

FRIGHTENED RABBIT may no longer be gracing stages with their presence, but their music lives on as a testament to the healing power of art. So, put on "The Midnight Organ Fight," pour yourself a glass of whisky, and let FRIGHTENED RABBIT's music wrap you in a warm, angsty embrace.
