I must admit, when I first heard that Candlemass was releasing an album titled Tritonus Nights, I was buzzing with excitement. As a long-time fan of the band, I knew they would deliver some heavy, doom-laden riffs that would shake me to my core. And boy, did they deliver. From the moment the album kicks off with the thundering drums and crushing guitars of "Darkness Descends," you know you're in for a wild ride. The band's trademark blend of sinister lyrics and bone-crushing riffs is on full display here, and it's an absolute joy to behold. But what really sets Tritonus Nights apart is the band's willingness to experiment and push the boundaries of their sound.
