Our Take

Imagining dragons? More like imagining snoozefests, am I right? And yet, here we are, faced with the seemingly never-ending onslaught of Imagine Dragons' Origins (Deluxe Edition).

The album kicks off with the track "Natural," which, ironically, feels anything but. With its overproduced sound and generic lyrics, it's hard to imagine anyone feeling a natural connection to this song.

As we move on to tracks like "Machine" and "Cool Out," it becomes abundantly clear that Imagine Dragons are stuck in a musical rut, churning out uninspired, cookie-cutter pop tunes that lack any real substance.

But fear not, dear reader, for there is a glimmer of hope on this album in the form of "West Coast." This track, with its dreamy synths and earnest vocals, offers a brief respite from the otherwise forgettable offerings on Origins.

Overall, Origins (Deluxe Edition) is a lacklustre affair that fails to live up to the band's previous successes. If you're looking for something truly original and exciting, look elsewhere. Just imagine dragons..flying far, far away from this album.
