Our Take
Our Take
With The Dead are back, and they've brought some serious love to the table with their latest album "Love From With The Dead". The band's signature blend of doom metal and psych rock is as potent as ever, but this time it's bathed in a rosewood hue that adds a touch of elegance to their trademark heaviness.
From the moment the needle hits the vinyl, you're immediately plunged into a world of crushing riffs, thunderous drums, and eerie, otherworldly vocals. It's like being trapped in a haunted house with a killer soundtrack, and you can't help but be drawn in by the band's hypnotic, doom-laden grooves.
Tracks like "Isolation" and "Anemia" showcase With The Dead at their most ferocious, with guitars that sound like chainsaws cutting through bone and vocals that seem to emanate from the depths of hell itself. But it's not all doom and gloom - there are moments of surprising beauty here, too, like the hauntingly melodic "Watching You Fall" and the ethereal "Spiritual Cramp".
Overall, "Love From With The Dead" is a triumph of darkness and light, a sonic journey that will leave you exhilarated, exhausted, and possibly a little bit terrified. With this album, With The Dead have once again proven themselves to be masters of their craft, and if you're a fan of heavy music that's as thought-provoking as it is head-banging, you won't want to miss this one.

About the artist
With the Dead
With The Dead Hailing from the foggy streets of London, With The Dead are a doom metal powerhouse like no other. Formed in 2014 by former Cathedral frontman Lee Dorrian and Electric Wizard guitarist Tim Bagshaw, this supergroup has been shaking the foundations of the underground metal scene ever since. Their sound is a monstrous blend of crushing riffs, thunderous drums, and Dorrian's distinctive, guttural vocals that will leave you feeling like you've been hit by a ten-tonne truck. With influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Celtic Frost, With The Dead have carved out their own hellish sonic territory that is equal parts punishing and hypnotic. But don't let their menacing sound fool you, these guys have a wicked sense of humour too. Known for their irreverent lyrics and larger-than-life stage presence, With The Dead are not afraid to poke fun at the darker side of life. Their live shows are a sight to behold, with swirling smoke, flashing lights, and enough decibels to make your ears bleed. If you're lucky enough to catch them on tour, be prepared to be taken on a sonic journey through the depths of hell and back. In a music industry that can sometimes take itself too seriously, With The Dead are a breath of fresh air. Unapologetically heavy, unapologetically loud, and unapologetically themselves, this band is a force to be reckoned with. So strap in, turn up the volume, and prepare to be blown away by the dark and twisted world of With The Dead.
