Our Take
Our Take
Finnish power metal veterans Stratovarius are back with their latest offering, "Eternal," and it's safe to say they're showing no signs of slowing down. Packed with soaring vocals, shredding guitars, and epic synth melodies, this album is a non-stop rollercoaster of headbanging goodness.
From the moment the opening track kicks in, you can't help but be swept away by the sheer energy and musicianship on display. The band's ability to seamlessly blend technical prowess with catchy hooks is nothing short of impressive, and it's clear they've honed their craft over the years.
Tracks like "My Eternal Dream" and "Shine in the Dark" showcase the band at the top of their game, with infectious choruses and blistering solos that will have you air guitaring in no time. And let's not forget about the epic ballad "Lost Without a Trace," which sees the band dialing back the intensity to deliver a heartfelt and emotional performance.
Overall, "Eternal" is a solid addition to Stratovarius' already impressive discography. Whether you're a die-hard fan of power metal or just looking for some high-energy music to get you through the day, this album has something for everyone. So grab your leather jacket, crank up the volume, and let yourself be taken on a musical journey that truly feels eternal.

About the artist
Stratovarius
Finnish power metal legends Stratovarius have been melting faces and blowing minds since the early 1990s. With their epic, virtuosic musicianship and soaring, operatic vocals, these guys are like the Wagner of metal--except with way more denim and leather. Formed in 1984 in Helsinki, Stratovarius quickly made a name for themselves with their technical prowess and catchy hooks. Guitarist Timo Tolkki, keyboardist Jens Johansson, and vocalist Timo Kotipelto are just a few of the virtuosos that make up this powerhouse of a band. Their music is a unique blend of classical influences, melodic metal riffs, and hair-raising solos that will make even the most hardened headbanger shed a tear (of joy, of course). Songs like "Black Diamond" and "Hunting High and Low" showcase their ability to seamlessly blend high-speed riffage with emotionally charged melodies. But it's not all serious business with these guys. Known for their playful, tongue-in-cheek lyrics and penchant for over-the-top theatrics, Stratovarius know how to have a good time. Whether they're rocking out on stage or goofing off in interviews, these guys never fail to entertain. With a discography that spans over 30 years and includes over 15 albums, Stratovarius are true veterans of the metal scene. And with their relentless touring schedule and passionate fanbase, it's clear that these guys aren't slowing down anytime soon. Bow down to the gods of power metal, because Stratovarius are here to stay.
