Our Take

Ah, Eddie Money - the man, the myth, the mullet. With his latest offering, "Can't Hold Back", Money proves that he's still got that rock and roll swagger, even if he now qualifies for a senior citizen discount at Denny's.

The album kicks off with the infectious title track, a classic Money anthem that will have you tapping your foot and pretending you're cruising down the highway in a convertible (even if you're actually just stuck in traffic on the M25).

"Take Me Home Tonight" sees Money teaming up with Ronnie Spector for a blast from the past that will have you dusting off your leather jacket and searching for your old Walkman. And let's not forget "I Wanna Go Back", a nostalgic ode to simpler times that will have you feeling like a teenager again (even if your own teenage years are but a distant memory).

But it's not all fun and games on "Can't Hold Back". Money shows his softer side on tracks like "Endless Nights" and "We Should Be Sleeping", proving that he's more than just a one-trick pony with a penchant for power chords.
