Our Take

Ah, the Arctic Monkeys. The band that famously went from "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" to "Do I Wanna Know?" in the blink of an eye. Their latest album, is a delightful mix of old school rock 'n' roll vibes and modern sensibilities.

From the opening track, "Star Treatment," which feels like a chilled-out lounge lizard version of the band we all know and love, to the swaggering rhythms of "Four Out of Five," this album is a rollercoaster of emotions. There's even a song called "The Ultracheese" which, fittingly, is the cheesiest song the band has ever made - and I mean that in the best way possible.

Frontman Alex Turner's lyrics are as sharp and clever as ever, with lines like "I just wanted to be one of The Strokes, now look at the mess you made me make" reminding us that he's still one of the best lyricists in the game. The band's sound may have evolved over the years, but they've still got that irresistible blend of wit and charm that first won us over all those years ago.
