Fuoco Fatuo
A monolithic force in the realm of extreme doom metal, Italy's Fuoco Fatuo have been conjuring musical cataclysms since their formation in 2011. With a name that translates to "Will-o'-the-wisp" in English, this Milan-based five-piece band brings a haunting, ethereal quality to their bone-crushing sonic landscapes.
Fuoco Fatuo's music is an exercise in tension and release, with crushing, slow-motion riffs giving way to eerie, atmospheric passages that sound like they were dredged up from the deepest pits of hell.
