Our Take

Finnish symphonic metal veterans Nightwish have always been a band that defies categorisation, blending elements of metal, opera, and folk music into a bombastic and theatrical sound. Their latest offering, "Yesterwynde", is no exception to this rule.

From the moment the album kicks off with the epic opening track "Lord of the Rings", the listener is catapulted into a world of fantastical imagery and powerful melodies. Lead vocalist Floor Jansen's vocals soar effortlessly over complex orchestral arrangements, paving the way for a truly immersive listening experience.
