Our Take
In an industry overflowing with comedic talent, Craig Gass's latest album, "Worst Comedy Show Ever," certainly lives up to its title. From start to finish, Gass brings a level of cringe-worthy awkwardness to the stage that even seasoned comedy veterans would struggle to match. His jokes fall flat, his delivery is lacking, and his timing is so off that it's almost impressive. It's as if Gass took a masterclass in how to bomb on stage and somehow managed to ace it. Throughout the album, Gass seems determined to push every comedic boundary imaginable, from tasteless jokes about sensitive subjects to bizarre, nonsensical tangents that leave the listener scratching their head in confusion. In a way, "Worst Comedy Show Ever" is a masterclass in anti-comedy. Gass's commitment to being unfunny is almost commendable, in a twisted sort of way. But ultimately, it's hard to see past the fact that this album simply isn't funny. If you're looking for a good laugh, you'd be better off listening to a recording of a dial tone. At least that way, you might get some unintentional comedy out of it. In conclusion, "Worst Comedy Show Ever" is an album that is best avoided, unless you enjoy cringing so hard that your face contorts into a permanent grimace.
