Our Take

Black Mountain’s latest offering, "Wilderness Heart," is a rollercoaster ride through the psychedelic realm of rock. The Vancouver-based band has never been one to conform to musical norms, and this album is no exception.

From the opening track, "The Hair Song," listeners are immediately catapulted into a sonic landscape filled with swirling guitars, thunderous drums, and haunting vocals. It’s like being transported to a parallel universe where Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin are having a jam session with The Doors.

Lead singer Amber Webber’s ethereal voice floats above the heavy instrumentation, giving the songs a sense of otherworldly beauty.
