Our Take

If none of us are allowed to go outside anymore, at least we can take comfort in the fact that bands like ROAMER are still out there, creating bangers like "What The Hell".

Their latest album is a delightful romp through indie pop, with infectious hooks and catchy melodies that will have you dancing around your living room like a madman. The production is slick and polished, but never strays into overproduced territory, allowing the band's raw energy to shine through.

Lead singer Lucy's vocals are a highlight, with just the right amount of sass and attitude to make you sit up and take notice. The lyrics are a bit on the nose at times, but in a charmingly self-aware way that only adds to the album's charm.

Standout tracks include the anthemic "Lost In The City" and the dreamy "Midnight Stroll", but really, there's not a weak song in the bunch. ROAMER have crafted a tight, cohesive album that is sure to have you hitting repeat over and over again.

In a time when we could all use a bit of escapism, "What The Hell" is the perfect soundtrack to get lost in. So put on your headphones, close your eyes, and let ROAMER take you on a journey. You won't regret it.
