Our Take
Various Artists have come together to create a musical experience that leaves us saying "We still can't say goodbye" for all the wrong reasons. This album is a mishmash of genres and styles that never quite gel together, resulting in a cacophony of confusion. From the opening track, it's clear that this compilation is a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows. One minute we're grooving to a funky disco beat, the next we're scratching our heads wondering what just happened. It's as if the artists involved couldn't decide on a cohesive sound and just threw everything at the wall to see what stuck. The production value is all over the place, with some tracks sounding crisp and polished while others feel like they were recorded on a dollar store microphone. The lack of consistency is jarring and takes away from the overall listening experience. Lyrically, the album is a mixed bag.
