Our Take
We Love Disney? More like We Love to Disney-nie this album into oblivion. Various Artists take on the iconic tunes of our childhood in this collection that feels less magical and more like a tacky theme park souvenir shop. From the awkward attempts at updating classics like "Let It Go" to the cringe-worthy collaborations that feel more forced than a family trip to Disneyland, this album fails to capture the enchantment of the original Disney hits. The standout tracks are few and far between, with some artists struggling to put their own spin on timeless songs without losing the essence of what made them special in the first place. It's as if they took a beloved fairytale and replaced it with a poorly written fanfiction. While there are a few moments of brilliance scattered throughout the album, they are overshadowed by the overwhelming mediocrity of the majority of the tracks. It's like trying to find Cinderella's glass slipper in a heap of ugly step-sister shoes. In conclusion, We Love Disney is a misguided attempt at reigniting the magic of our childhoods that ultimately falls flat. It's as enjoyable as waiting in line for Space Mountain only to find out it's closed for maintenance. Disney lovers, proceed with caution.
