HINDS burst onto the indie music scene like a glitter bomb exploding at a festival in the Spanish sunshine. This Madrid-based band is a riotous mix of garage rock grit and infectious pop melodies, served up with a generous side of charmingly unpolished vocals. Formed in 2011 by best friends Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote, HINDS quickly gained a reputation for their frenetic live shows and DIY ethos. With their shaggy hair and nonchalant attitude, they embody the spirit of rock 'n' roll rebellion while still managing to be utterly endearing. Their debut album, "Leave Me Alone," released in 2016, was a whirlwind of lo-fi goodness that garnered critical acclaim and a loyal following. Tracks like "Garden" and "Bamboo" showcase their knack for catchy hooks and slacker vibe. HINDS' sophomore effort, "I Don't Run," released in 2018, saw the band exploring more complex song structures and a slightly cleaner sound, without sacrificing any of their trademark energy and charm. Songs like "New For You" and "The Club" are perfect examples of their ability to craft earworms that'll have you dancing and singing along in no time. With a reputation for wild antics both on and off stage, HINDS are a band who refuse to play by the rules.
