Our Take
Our Take
Ah, Collective Soul, the band that just can't seem to stop "Vibrating". This latest offering from the Georgia rockers is a mixed bag of tricks, with some hits and misses along the way.
Opening track "Over Me" kicks things off with a bang, showcasing the band's trademark knack for catchy hooks and infectious melodies. But as the album progresses, it becomes clear that Collective Soul may have lost some of their creative spark.
Tracks like "Crushed" and "No More, No Less" feel like rehashed versions of their past hits, lacking the innovation and excitement that made the band's early work so memorable.
That being said, there are still moments of brilliance to be found on "Vibrating". "Perfect Day" is a shimmering slice of pop perfection, while "Under Heaven's Skies" showcases the band's impressive musicianship.
Overall, "Vibrating" is a solid effort from Collective Soul, but it lacks the spark and originality that made their earlier work so captivating. Fans of the band will find plenty to enjoy here, but those looking for something fresh and exciting may be left wanting more.

About the artist
Collective Soul
COLLECTIVE SOUL – the Georgia boys who gave us countless 90s rock anthems and infectious hooks are back with a vengeance. Fronted by the charismatic Ed Roland, this quintet has been churning out earworm after earworm since the early 90s. With their unique blend of grunge, alternative rock and pop sensibilities, Collective Soul have firmly established themselves as one of the most enduring acts in the industry. Their latest album, "Blood," is a testament to their longevity and creative prowess. From the soaring choruses of "Right as Rain" to the introspective balladry of "Changed," this album is a masterclass in genre-hopping and songwriting. But don't be fooled by their radio-friendly sound – Collective Soul are no one-trick ponies. Their live shows are a sight to behold, with Roland's gravelly vocals and the band's tight musicianship creating an electrifying atmosphere that keeps fans coming back for more. So whether you're a long-time fan or a newcomer to their music, Collective Soul is a band that demands your attention. With their infectious melodies, powerhouse vocals and killer live performances, this is one group that is sure to leave a lasting impression on your musical soul.
