Ah, the elusive OZ Undercover and their latest release, Wicked Vices. This album, much like a fine wine or a dodgy pint at the pub, is a mixed bag of surprises and disappointments.
At first listen, you can hear the band's influences loud and clear. From the gritty guitars reminiscent of The Arctic Monkeys to the whimsical lyrics that scream early Blur, OZ Undercover certainly wears their inspirations on their sleeve.
But don't be fooled, dear reader, for there is a darkness lurking beneath the surface of Wicked Vices. Tracks like "Black Magic Woman" and "Devil's Playground" take you on a journey through the seedy underbelly of the music industry, leaving you questioning your own moral compass.
However, amidst the chaos and debauchery, there are moments of pure brilliance on this album. The haunting vocals on "Midnight Blues" and the infectious energy of "Electric Dreams" are sure to leave you wanting more.
