Our Take

Ah, the sweet sounds of summer. Or should I say the forced sounds of summer? Because that's what Tropical Holidayin feels like - a forced attempt at capturing the essence of a tropical getaway.

Various Artists have come together on this album to create a mishmash of tropical-themed tracks that leave us feeling more confused than relaxed. From the overly repetitive steel drum beats to the cringe-worthy lyrics about sipping Mai Tais on the beach, it's clear that Tropical Holidayin was created by people who have never actually been on a tropical holiday.

The opening track, "Sunshine Paradise", sets the tone for the rest of the album with its generic lyrics and lacklustre melody. It's like the musical equivalent of a tacky souvenir you'd find at a beachside gift shop.
