Our Take

The Residents have always been known for their eccentric and avant-garde approach to music, and their latest offering, "Triple Trouble - Original Soundtrack," is no exception. This album is a wild ride from start to finish, with quirky instrumentation, off-kilter rhythms, and bizarre vocal performances that will leave you scratching your head in the best way possible.

From the opening track, "Oh No, Not Again," with its cacophony of electronic bleeps and bloops, to the closing number, "What Have We Done?," a haunting ballad sung entirely in reverse, the Residents truly pull out all the stops on this one. Each track is like a mini adventure into the strange and surreal world of the band, with unexpected twists and turns at every corner.

Standout tracks include "Panic in Plastic City," a frenetic punk anthem that will have you thrashing around the room like a maniac, and "The Mysterious Mystery of Mysticism," a sprawling epic that clocks in at over 15 minutes and features everything from Tibetan throat singing to a kazoo solo.

Overall, "Triple Trouble - Original Soundtrack" is a bold and boundary-pushing album that cements the Residents' status as true innovators in the world of music. If you're a fan of the weird and wonderful, this is definitely an album worth checking out. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
