Our Take
Our Take
Ah, GENTLEMENS Triage - the album that's like a wild night out in Manchester, complete with questionable decisions and regrettable dance moves. This trio from Sheffield may have a name that suggests sophistication, but their music is anything but refined.
From the opening track "Disco Biscuit Love Affair" to the closing song "Hangover Blues", GENTLEMENS Triage takes us on a chaotic rollercoaster ride of punk, funk, and everything in between. Imagine if Arctic Monkeys and The Streets had a lovechild, and you're halfway there.
Lead singer Johnny Rotten-lookalike, Gary Gritter, brings a gravelly swagger to each track, making you feel like you're in a dingy pub at 2am with a warm pint in hand. The rest of the band injects a frenetic energy that keeps you on your toes and leaves you wondering what the hell you just listened to.
Tracks like "Bloody Mary for Breakfast" and "Taxi Ride of Shame" capture the essence of a night out gone wrong, with lyrics that will make you laugh and cringe in equal measure. It's not for the faint-hearted, but if you're up for a musical adventure that's equal parts ridiculous and irresistible, GENTLEMENS Triage is the band for you.
Overall, this album is a messy, unapologetic whirlwind of sound that will leave you feeling like you need a shower and a strong cup of tea. But hey, isn't that what music is all about? Cheers to GENTLEMENS Triage for this wild ride of an album.
