Our Take

In the grand tradition of indie rock bands trying to push boundaries and sound experimental, FALL's latest album Totales Turn Its Now Or Never is a deliciously weird and wonky journey that will leave you scratching your head in the best way possible.

From the opening track "Chaos Reigns" to the closing notes of "Endless Loop", FALL take listeners on a wild ride through a sonic landscape that is equal parts psychedelic, post-punk and plain old bonkers.

Lead singer Johnny Sparkle's voice is a haunting mix of David Bowie and a cat being strangled, while the band's instrumentation veers from cacophonous noise to delicate melodies with the precision of a drunk tightrope walker.

Tracks like "Wigged Out" and "Mind Warp" showcase FALL at their most unhinged, with layers of distortion and feedback creating a swirling vortex of sound that threatens to engulf the listener whole.

But amidst the chaos, there are moments of pure beauty to be found, like the shimmering guitar lines on "Dreamscape" or the bittersweet harmonies on "Fading Fast".

Overall, Totales Turn Its Now Or Never is a thrilling, challenging listen that will leave you gasping for breath and questioning your sanity in the best possible way. It's a mad, mad world out there, and FALL are here to soundtrack it. High praise, indeed.
