Our Take

As I popped Bertil Mark's latest album, "Too Distant," into my trusty old CD player, I couldn't help but wonder if this Swedish artist could live up to the hype surrounding his latest release. Spoiler alert: he did not disappoint.

From the first track, "Lost in Translation," I was hooked. Mark's unique blend of indie folk with hints of electronic influences created a sound that was both nostalgic and fresh. The lyrics, reminiscent of classic British songwriting, painted vivid pictures of love and loss that resonated deep within my soul.

The standout track for me was "Dreams in Technicolor," a beautifully crafted ballad that showcased Mark's incredible vocal range. The haunting melody paired with the dreamy production left me feeling like I was floating through a psychedelic wonderland.
