Album Review: EMBRACED BY HATRED - Time Waits
Embraced by Hatred's latest offering, "Time Waits," is like a slap in the face from your granny - unexpected, slightly painful, but you can't help but love it. The German band has been churning out brutal hardcore since before you were even a twinkle in your parents' eyes, and they sure as hell haven't lost their edge.
From the moment the first track, "Breaking Point," kicks in, you're hit with a wall of sound so intense it's like being trapped in a metal drum. The frenetic drumming, crunchy guitars, and growling vocals combine to create a sonic assault that is both thrilling and disorientating.
But don't be fooled - there's more to Embraced by Hatred than just mindless aggression. Tracks like "Lost and Alone" and "Time Waits" show a more introspective side to the band, with poignant lyrics and haunting melodies that will linger in your mind long after the album has finished.
