Our Take
Our Take
Ah, Paramore. The band that brought us such emo anthems as "Misery Business" and "Still Into You". Their latest album, "This Is Why", is a wild ride from start to finish.
Hayley Williams' powerhouse vocals are as impressive as ever, effortlessly shifting from angsty screams to crooning falsetto. The guitar work is punchy and vibrant, with catchy riffs that will have you air-guitaring in no time.
The standout track for me has to be "Fake Happy", a sarcastic take on the facade we all put up to hide our true feelings. The chorus is infectiously catchy, and you can't help but sing along as Hayley belts out, "Oh please / I bet everybody here is fake happy too".
However, not every track on the album is a winner. "Rose-Colored Boy" feels a bit too repetitive, with a chorus that fails to make a lasting impression. And "Caught in the Middle" is a bit forgettable, lacking the spark that makes Paramore's best songs so memorable.
Overall, "This Is Why" is a solid effort from Paramore, showcasing their ability to blend pop-punk and emo influences into a sound that is uniquely their own. Fans of the band will no doubt find plenty to love here, while newcomers may be intrigued enough to dive deeper into their discography.

About the artist
Paramore
Paramore: The powerhouse trio from Tennessee that shook up the pop-punk scene with their infectious hooks and dynamic live performances. Led by the incomparable Hayley Williams, this band has been melting faces and breaking hearts since 2004. Their debut album, "All We Know Is Falling," set the stage for what was to come - a rollercoaster ride of emotions, angst, and anthemic choruses that made Paramore a household name. With hits like "Misery Business" and "Crushcrushcrush," they solidified their place in the hearts of fans worldwide. But it wasn't all smooth sailing for this band. Internal struggles and lineup changes threatened to tear Paramore apart, but they persevered and emerged stronger than ever. Their self-titled album showcased their maturity and growth, with tracks like "Ain't It Fun" earning them Grammy recognition. Paramore's latest release, "After Laughter," sees them embracing a new wave sound while staying true to their punk roots. Williams' powerhouse vocals and the band's tight musicianship make this album an instant classic. But what truly sets Paramore apart is their live show. Williams' charisma and energy on stage are unmatched, and the band's tight-knit chemistry is evident in every performance. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual listener, seeing Paramore live is an experience you won't soon forget. So buckle up, dear readers, because Paramore is here to stay. With their infectious energy and killer tunes, this band is a force to be reckoned with in the ever-evolving music industry. And trust me, you don't want to miss out on what they have in store next.
