Our Take
Yeyey's latest offering, "The Visionin," is a rollercoaster of sonic delights that will leave you questioning just how many cups of coffee the band consumed before hitting the studio. From the opening track "Blurry Dreams" to the final notes of "Rainbow Connection," Yeyey takes listeners on a wild ride through a musical landscape that shifts and morphs with every beat. The album is a mishmash of genres, with influences ranging from psychedelic rock to electro-pop to avant-garde jazz. It's as if Yeyey threw every musical idea they had into a blender and hit puree, creating a whirlwind of sound that is equal parts exhilarating and confusing. Lead singer Lily's vocals are a force to be reckoned with, soaring to dizzying heights one moment and sinking to whispered depths the next. It's impossible to predict where she'll take you next, and that's part of the fun of listening to "The Visionin."
