Our Take

With Fall The Real New Fall LP (Formerly Country On The Click), Mark E. Smith and his merry band of misfits continue to defy categorization and expectations. This album is a wild ride through murky, post-punk waters, with Smith's rambling vocals leading the way.

The opening track, 'Mountain Energei', sets the tone for the album with its relentless energy and chaotic instrumentation. Smith's lyrics are as cryptic and cutting as ever, touching on themes of politics, culture, and personal grievances in a way that only he can.

Tracks like 'Green-Eyed Snorkel' and 'Invisible Ray' showcase the band's ability to blend elements of rock, electronic, and even jazz into their signature sound. The result is a cacophonous yet strangely addictive listening experience that rewards repeated plays.
