Our Take

The Phantom of the Opera soundtrack is the musical equivalent of riding a rollercoaster while wearing an oversized top hat. It's a cacophony of theatrical highs and lows, with soaring vocals that could shatter chandeliers and orchestral arrangements that would make Sweeney Todd himself weep.
