Forgoing the traditional route of naming albums after alliterations or obscure nouns, Annalisa Tornfelt boldly presents us with "The Number 8" - presumably a nod to her lucky number, her favourite digit, or maybe just a coincidence. Who really knows?
From the moment the album kicks off with the frantic fiddling of "Fiddle Me This", Tornfelt's talent as a multi-instrumentalist shines through. With each track, she weaves intricate melodies that draw you in like a moth to a flame (or should I say, a fiddle to a bow?).
The standout track, "Strumming Along", sees Tornfelt effortlessly blending folk, blues, and a hint of Americana to create a sound that is uniquely her own. It's a toe-tapping, head-bobbing masterpiece that showcases her versatility as a musician.
