Our Take

When it comes to underrated rock bands from the 70s, Budgie takes the cake. The Welsh trio's latest album, "The Last Stage," may not be breaking any new ground, but it's a solid addition to their already impressive discography.

From the opening track "Rockin' Rodents" to the epic closer "Fly High, Budgie," the band showcases their signature blend of heavy riffs, catchy melodies, and quirky lyrics. Lead vocalist Burke Shelley's distinctive howl still packs a punch, while guitarist Tony Bourge shreds with a ferocity that belies his age.
