Our Take
Iggy Pop's foray into the Eighties could have easily been a disaster, a less cool version of his iconic punk image. But instead, "The Eighties" is a surprisingly eclectic and enjoyable offering from the Godfather of Punk. Kicking off with the raucous energy of "Real Wild Child," Iggy delivers a catchy blend of rock and new wave that showcases his versatility as an artist. Tracks like "Cry for Love" and "Fire Girl" bring a more polished side to Iggy's signature raw sound, proving that he can evolve without losing his edge.
