Ultravox - The Collection (2025 Remaster) Sorry, Ultravox, but this remaster just ain't cutting it, darling. While this collection of hits from the iconic 80s band should have been a synth-pop lover's dream, it falls short of nostalgia and fails to capture the magic of the original recordings. At first listen, you might think you've stumbled upon a dodgy cover band at a wedding reception, as the remastering somehow manages to strip away the infectious energy that made Ultravox so unforgettable. Hits like "Vienna" and "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes" feel flat and lifeless, lacking the punch and passion that made them classics in the first place. Even with the addition of a few bonus tracks and B-sides, this remaster fails to breathe new life into the band's discography. It's like trying to reheat yesterday's leftover fish and chips - it might look good on paper, but the taste just isn't the same.
