About the artist
Honeymoon Suite
HONEYMOON SUITE are the Canadian rock band that time forgot. Bursting onto the scene in the mid-80s with their infectious blend of power pop and arena rock, these guys were poised for greatness. But alas, fate had other plans. Lead singer Johnnie Dee's soaring vocals and guitarist Derry Grehan's killer riffs made HONEYMOON SUITE a force to be reckoned with, but for some reason, they never quite reached the heights of their peers. Maybe it was their lack of a signature hit, or perhaps it was just bad luck. Whatever the reason, one thing is for sure: these guys deserve a second chance. Their self-titled debut album is a hidden gem of the 80s rock scene, with tracks like "New Girl Now" and "Wave Babies" showcasing the band's knack for killer hooks and infectious melodies. And let's not forget about their criminally underrated follow-up, "The Big Prize", which spawned the hits "Feel It Again" and "Bad Attitude". With their larger-than-life hair and penchant for leather jackets, HONEYMOON SUITE may have been a product of their time, but their music is timeless. So dust off your old cassette tapes and give these guys another listen. Who knows, you might just find your new favourite band.
