Our Take

To say that Bud Powell is a legend in the jazz world would be an understatement. The man practically invented modern jazz piano, and his influence can be heard in countless musicians to this day. So when it comes to his album "Amazing Bud Powell, Vol. 1 (1949-51)," it's safe to say that expectations are high. And let me tell you, this album does not disappoint.
