Our Take

Void Rot's latest offering, "Telluric Dismemberment," is a cataclysmic descent into the darkest depths of death metal. With a sound as heavy as a black hole and as crushing as a collapsing star, this album is not for the faint of heart.

From the moment the opening track kicks in, you're sucked into a vortex of relentless riffage, thunderous drums, and guttural vocals that make your bones shake and your eardrums bleed. It's like being trapped in the belly of a beast, with no hope of escape.

But don't let the brutal onslaught of sound fool you - there's a method to the madness here. Void Rot's masterful musicianship shines through in their intricate song structures and dynamic shifts, proving that they're not just here to pummel you into submission.

Tracks like "Pavor Nocturnus" and "The Weight of a Thousand Suns" showcase the band's ability to weave together melody and madness, creating a sonic tapestry that is as haunting as it is hypnotic. And with a production so raw and primal, you can almost feel the walls of the cavernous abyss closing in around you.

In short, "Telluric Dismemberment" is a visceral, uncompromising journey into the abyss of death metal. Void Rot have crafted a truly terrifying masterpiece that will leave you gasping for air and begging for more. Enter at your own risk.

About the artist

Void Rot

Void Rot: Crushing the Competition with Their Guttural Sounds Hailing from the dark depths of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Void Rot are a force to be reckoned with in the extreme metal scene. With a sound that can only be described as soul-crushingly heavy, this quartet has been terrorizing eardrums since their formation in 2017. Leading the charge is vocalist and bassist Daniel Jackson, whose guttural growls could wake the dead. His thunderous vocals are perfectly complemented by the bone-shaking riffs of guitarist Brad Fife, whose guitar work is so intense it could melt faces. Rounding out the lineup are drummer Eric Deane and guitarist Brian Serzynski, whose rhythmic precision and blistering solos add an extra layer of brutality to Void Rot's sound. Their debut album, "Consumed by Oblivion," is a tour de force of death-doom metal that will leave you gasping for breath. From the crushing opening track "Towards Perdition" to the epic closer "Descend into Despair," Void Rot takes listeners on a journey through the darkest recesses of the human psyche. But don't let their intimidating sound fool you – the members of Void Rot are some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. When they're not busy melting faces on stage, you can find them hanging out at their favourite dive bar, sharing a pint and swapping stories with fans. With their crushing sound and infectious energy, Void Rot are poised to take the extreme metal world by storm. Keep an eye on these guys – you'll be hearing a lot more from them in the future.
