Our Take
Our Take
S.G. GOODMAN's latest offering, "Teeth Marks," is a deliciously gritty and unapologetic exploration of love, loss, and the wild rollercoaster ride that is life. With a distinctive Southern twang and a rebellious spirit, Goodman's vocals soar effortlessly over the raw, bluesy instrumentation that serves as the perfect backdrop for her captivating storytelling.
From the foot-stomping opener "The Way I Talk" to the hauntingly beautiful title track "Teeth Marks," Goodman weaves a sonic tapestry that is equal parts heartbreak and defiance. Her lyrics are sharp and introspective, painting vivid pictures of small-town struggles and big-city dreams.
Standout tracks like "Old Time Feeling" and "Space and Time" showcase Goodman's versatility as an artist, effortlessly blending elements of folk, rock, and country to create a sound that is uniquely her own. The production is top-notch, with each instrument shining brightly in the mix and complementing Goodman's powerhouse vocals.
Overall, "Teeth Marks" is a bold and fearless statement from an artist who is unafraid to bare her soul and speak her truth. S.G. GOODMAN is a force to be reckoned with, and this album cements her status as one of the most exciting voices in the alternative country scene. Don't sleep on this one, folks – S.G. GOODMAN is here to stay.

About the artist
S.G. Goodman
S.G. GOODMAN is the pint-sized powerhouse from Mississippi who is taking the music world by storm with her unique blend of Southern folk and gritty rock. With a voice that can rival Janis Joplin and lyrics that cut straight to the heart, Goodman's music is a raw and honest reflection of her experiences growing up in the Deep South. Hailing from a small town in Kentucky, Goodman's love of music was cultivated at an early age. She honed her skills playing in local bars and honky-tonks, perfecting her craft and developing her signature sound. With influences ranging from Dolly Parton to PJ Harvey, Goodman's music is a melting pot of genres that defies categorization. Goodman's debut album, "Old Time Feeling," is a masterclass in storytelling. Each track is a snapshot of her life, from the struggles of small-town living to the joys of love and redemption. With raw, unapologetic lyrics and a voice that can move mountains, Goodman's music is a force to be reckoned with. But don't let her powerhouse vocals fool you - Goodman is a true Southern belle with a wicked sense of humour. Her live shows are a raucous affair, with Goodman cracking jokes and engaging with the crowd in a way that makes you feel like you're sitting on the front porch with an old friend. In a music industry dominated by cookie-cutter pop stars and manufactured personas, S.G. Goodman is a breath of fresh air. With her raw talent, infectious charm, and unapologetic attitude, Goodman is poised to take the world by storm. Keep an eye on this rising star - you won't want to miss what she does next.
