Ah, Black Sabbath - the pioneers of heavy metal, the godfathers of doom, the masters of riffage. Technical Ecstasy, their seventh studio album, sees the band experimenting with a more polished sound, incorporating elements of prog and even disco. Yes, you read that right - disco.
From the funky basslines of "Back Street Kids" to the synth-heavy "Rock 'n' Roll Doctor", this album is a wild ride from start to finish. It's like Sabbath took a trip to Studio 54 and came back with some serious groove.
And let's not forget the epic ballad "It's Alright", which showcases Ozzy Osbourne's surprisingly tender vocals. Who knew the Prince of Darkness had a sensitive side?
But don't worry, there's still plenty of face-melting guitar solos courtesy of Tony Iommi. The man is a riff machine, churning out heavy, menacing licks with the precision of a well-oiled machine.
