Our Take

MALMO SOSINAISKYJOHNSSON's latest release, Schmidtsymphony No 2, is a wild ride through a musical wonderland. The Swedish trio, known for their eclectic mix of classical and electronic influences, have really outdone themselves with this album.

The opening track, "Symphonic Chaos," sets the tone for the entire record with its combination of sweeping orchestral arrangements and glitchy electronic beats. It's like Tchaikovsky meets Daft Punk, and somehow it just works.

As the album progresses, we are treated to a variety of sonic landscapes, from the hauntingly beautiful "Lament for a Broken Cello" to the frenetic energy of "Rave Symphony in G Minor." Each track is a journey in itself, carrying the listener through highs and lows, twists and turns, and everything in between.

The standout moment of the album, however, has to be the epic closer, "Symphonic Odyssey." Clocking in at over 20 minutes, this track is a symphony in its truest form, taking the listener on a thrilling musical adventure that feels like a rollercoaster ride for the ears.
