Our Take
Ah, Battle Beast, a name that conjures up images of fierce warriors, epic battles, and maybe a few spandex outfits thrown in for good measure. Their latest album, "Steelbound," does not fail to deliver on all fronts.
From the moment the opening track kicks in, you know you're in for a wild ride. The guitars are as sharp as a knight's sword, the drums thunder like hooves pounding on a battlefield, and the vocals soar to heights that would make even a griffin jealous.
But it's not all serious business with Battle Beast. There's a sense of fun and theatrics running throughout the album, like a band of merry jesters putting on a show for the masses. "Steelbound" is a headbanger’s delight, with infectious hooks and riffs that will have you air-guitaring like there's no tomorrow.
Sure, some may turn their nose up at the cheesy lyrics and over-the-top theatrics, but that's missing the point. Battle Beast know exactly what they're doing, and they do it with a wink and a nod. This isn't music to be dissected and analysed, it's music to be enjoyed and embraced with open arms.
So, grab your sword, don your armour, and prepare for battle with Battle Beast and "Steelbound." It may not be the most subtle or nuanced of albums, but who needs subtlety when you have this much fun?
