Ah, SPO & MYSTIC VALLEY, the enigmatic duo that never fails to captivate and confuse in equal measure. Sons Of The Nightin is their latest offering, a sonic masterpiece that flits between genres with the agility of a caffeinated squirrel.

From the opening track "Moonlight Shuffle" with its hauntingly beautiful vocals and hypnotic beats, to the sublime synths of "Midnight Mist," this album is a sonic journey through the depths of the night. SPO & MYSTIC VALLEY have really outdone themselves this time.

But what truly sets Sons Of The Nightin apart is the subtle nods to British culture scattered throughout the album. From the cheeky references to mushy peas in "Nightclub Nonsense" to the unmistakable twang of the East End in "London Eye Love," this album is a love letter to all things British.

However, for all its brilliance, Sons Of The Nightin does suffer from a touch of pretentiousness at times. Some tracks veer dangerously close to self-indulgence, with overly complex arrangements and cryptic lyrics that make you wonder if SPO & MYSTIC VALLEY might be taking themselves a bit too seriously.
