As I popped in Children of Bodom's latest offering, "Skeletons in the Closet," I couldn't help but think, "What the bloomin' 'ell am I in for this time?" Let me tell you, dear readers, this album is a whirlwind of metal madness that will leave you headbanging into next week. From the blistering guitar solos to the guttural vocals, Children of Bodom have truly outdone themselves with this eclectic collection of cover songs. Tracks like "Antisocial" and "Hell Is for Children" showcase the band's ability to put their own twist on classic tunes while still staying true to their signature sound. But don't think for a second that this album is all hard-hitting riffs and face-melting solos. Oh no, Children of Bodom also know how to dial it back with tracks like "Rebel Yell" and "Waiting" that showcase a softer, more introspective side to the band.
