Our Take

MOTOR CITY MAYHEM's latest release, "Shitfaced And Outta Luck," is a raucous rollercoaster of rock 'n' roll debauchery that will leave you both exhilarated and slightly nauseous.

From the opening track "Beer Goggles Blues" to the closing ballad "Regretsville," this album is a wild ride through the seedy underbelly of Detroit's music scene. Frontman Johnny "Big Smokes" Johnson's gravelly vocals and shredding guitar solos are a perfect match for the band's hard-hitting, booze-soaked sound.

The standout track on this album has to be "Tequila Sunrise (And a Side of Regret)," a blistering anthem that perfectly captures the hedonistic spirit of MOTOR CITY MAYHEM. The pounding drums and wailing guitars will have you fist-pumping and headbanging in no time.

However, not every track on "Shitfaced And Outta Luck" hits the mark. The mid-album slump of "Whiskey Dick Blues" and "Hangover Hymn" might leave you reaching for the skip button.
