Our Take

DANGER DANGER's sophomore album "Screw It!" is a rollercoaster ride of 80s rock clichés and cheesy ballads that will make even the most jaded music snob crack a smile. From the moment you press play, you're transported back to a time when hair was big, guitar solos were bigger, and every song seemed custom-made for a high school prom slow dance.

The album kicks off with the infectious anthem "Ginger Snaps (Intro)," a bombastic ode to redheads that sets the tone for the rest of the record. Lead vocalist Ted Poley's raspy vocals soar over crunchy guitar riffs and pounding drums, creating a sound that is equal parts Bon Jovi and Def Leppard.

Tracks like "Monkey Business" and "Slipped Her the One (Love in an Elevator)" showcase the band's knack for crafting catchy hooks and irresistible choruses that will have you singing along in no time. But it's the heartfelt power ballad "I Still Think About You" that steals the show, with Poley's emotive vocals tugging at your heartstrings like a drunken karaoke rendition of "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

Overall, "Screw It!" is a guilty pleasure of an album that may not be the most groundbreaking or profound piece of music ever made, but it's certainly a hell of a good time. So grab your air guitar, crank up the volume, and let DANGER DANGER take you on a nostalgic journey back to the glory days of 80s rock. You won't regret it, we promise.

About the artist

Danger Danger

Hailing from the neon-soaked streets of New York City in the late 80s, DANGER DANGER burst onto the hair metal scene with a bang (and probably a few hairspray cans). With their catchy hooks, killer riffs, and over-the-top attitude, this quintet quickly became a staple in the rock landscape. Fronted by the charismatic Ted Poley, whose soaring vocals could melt even the coldest of hearts, DANGER DANGER gained a reputation for their high-energy live shows and infectious, party-ready anthems. Tracks like "Naughty Naughty" and "Bang Bang" became instant classics, setting the band on a collision course with success. But it wasn't all smooth sailing for DANGER DANGER. The fickle winds of change blew through the music industry in the 90s, leaving many of their contemporaries in the dust. Yet, true to form, this band of misfits refused to fade into obscurity. They persevered, churning out albums and touring relentlessly, proving that they were more than just a product of their time. Now, some three decades later, DANGER DANGER are still going strong. Their music may have evolved, but their spirit remains the same - rebellious, unapologetic, and always ready to rock. So buckle up, dear readers, and prepare to be taken on a wild ride through the outrageous world of DANGER DANGER. You never know what might happen next, but one thing's for sure - it's bound to be one hell of a good time.
