Our Take

Ah, Bryan Adams, the evergreen Canadian heartthrob with a knack for churning out anthemic rock tunes that make you want to scream "Summer of '69" at the top of your lungs. His latest offering, "Roll With The Punches" (Deluxe Edition), sees him diving headfirst into the realm of blues-infused rock, with mixed results.

The album kicks off with the toe-tapping "Please Stay", a classic Adams ballad that oozes with nostalgia and longing. His raspy vocals are as charming as ever, effortlessly gliding over the smooth guitar riffs and soaring anthemic choruses. It's a solid start to the album, setting the tone for what's to come.

However, things take a bit of a nosedive with tracks like "Whiskey In The Jar", where Adams tries his hand at Celtic rock with questionable results. The combination of fiddles and electric guitars feels more awkward than inspired, and Adams' attempt at an Irish accent leaves much to be desired.
