Bodikhuu Rio/Bodianova – Self-Titled Mongolian duo Bodikhuu Rio and Bodianova have burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut album, a unique blend of traditional Mongolian folk music and modern electronic beats. From the moment the hauntingly beautiful throat singing kicks in on opening track "Steppe Step," you know you're in for a wild ride. The duo’s intricate vocal harmonies and lush production create a sound that is both ancient and futuristic, transporting the listener to the wide open plains of Mongolia while also making them want to hit the nearest dance floor. Standout tracks include "Horsehead Fiddle Funk," a groovy jam that combines traditional Mongolian instruments with a pulsating bassline, and "Yurt Party Anthem," a catchy pop gem that will have you singing along in no time.
