Our Take

Ah, Phosphorescent, the enigmatic mastermind behind the album "Revelator". With a title like that, you'd expect some kind of divine revelation, right? Well, strap in, folks, because this album is about as revelatory as a soggy biscuit.

From the very first track, "Moonlight Sonata", you're hit with a wave of mediocrity that's so relentless, it's almost impressive. The music meanders along, never quite hitting the mark, like a drunk uncle at a wedding trying to bust out the Macarena.

But don't worry, it's not all bad. Tracks like "Starlight Serenade" and "Sunshine Symphony" inject a bit of energy into the mix, but even then, it's like trying to get excited about a lukewarm cup of tea.

The real kicker, though, is the vocals. Phosphorescent's voice is like a cat stuck in a coal chute - scratchy, off-key, and downright painful to listen to. It's a miracle the poor guy hasn't been admitted to a vocal rehabilitation centre.

In short, "Revelator" is about as revelatory as a cabbage sandwich - bland, uninspired, and likely to leave you feeling a bit queasy. Maybe it's time for Phosphorescent to rethink their career path and try their hand at something a bit less...musical.
