Step aside Adele, move over Ed Sheeran, there's a new musical force to be reckoned with and they go by the name of SOULPHUREUS. The Norwegian black metal band's latest album, "Rest In Hell," is a chaotic cacophony of brilliantly sinister sounds that will shake you to your core. From the moment the opening track, "Infernal Ascension," blasts through your speakers, you know you're in for a wild ride. The relentless blast beats, screeching guitars, and guttural vocals create a wall of sound that is as terrifying as it is exhilarating. But don't be fooled by the darkness of the music - there is a twisted sense of humour running through this album that will have you chuckling as you headbang along. Take the track "Satanic Socks," for example, which features a surprisingly catchy chorus about... well, you can probably guess. Despite the album's grim subject matter and relentless intensity, there is a level of technical musicianship on display here that is truly impressive. The guitar work is razor-sharp, the drumming is lightning-fast, and the bass is so heavy it feels like it's shaking the very foundations of hell itself.
