Our Take

LA GUNS have returned with their latest offering, Renegades (Clear Vinyl), and let me tell you, it's like stepping into a time machine and being transported back to the glory days of 80s hair metal.

From the opening track, "Crawl", you're immediately hit with a wall of electric guitars and catchy hooks that will have you headbanging in no time. The band effortlessly weaves between hard-hitting rock anthems and ballads that will have you reaching for your lighter (or phone flashlight, we're in 2021 after all).

Vocalist Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns are in fine form, showing off their years of experience in the industry with powerful performances that are sure to please fans old and new. The rhythm section is tight as ever, driving each song forward with a relentless energy that will have you tapping your foot along with the beat.

Standout tracks include the anthemic "Renegades" and the soulful ballad "You Can't Walk Away", showcasing the band's versatility as musicians.

Overall, Renegades is a solid addition to LA GUNS' discography, sure to please fans of classic rock and hair metal alike. So grab your leather jacket, tease up your hair, and crank up the volume – this album is a wild ride from start to finish.

About the artist

L.A. Guns

LA GUNS: A Hair metal band that defies gravity with their larger-than-life personalities and guitar solos that could melt your face off. With a history as wild as their music, LA Guns have navigated through band breakups, line-up changes, and enough backstage drama to make even the most seasoned rockstar blush. Formed in 1983 in Los Angeles, this glam rock outfit quickly gained notoriety for their raucous live shows and rebellious attitude. Frontman Phil Lewis brings a swagger and charisma to the stage that is unmatched, while guitarist Tracii Guns shreds with a ferocity that can only be described as explosive. Their breakthrough album, "Cocked & Loaded", catapulted them into the mainstream with hits like "The Ballad of Jayne" and "Never Enough", showcasing their ability to craft catchy hooks and anthemic choruses that stick in your head for days. Despite their rocky past, LA Guns have endured as a staple in the hair metal scene, serving up blistering riffs and infectious melodies that keep fans coming back for more. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a curious newcomer, one thing is certain: LA Guns are here to stay, and they'll rock your world like no one else can.
