Our Take

Australian indie darling Ben Lee has reached a quarter century milestone with his latest release, Quarter Century Classix. This album sees Lee putting his own unique spin on some classic hits from the past 25 years, with mixed results.

The album kicks off with a cover of Oasis's "Wonderwall," which will either make you cringe or crack a smile, depending on your feelings towards the Gallagher brothers. Lee's stripped-down, acoustic take on the song offers a fresh perspective, but ultimately falls flat in comparison to the original.
