Our Take
Sterephonics have been around for so long, it's almost like they're the distant relatives you only see at Christmas but still manage to have a good time with. Their latest album, "Pull the Pin," is a rollercoaster of emotions, from nostalgia to head-banging anthems, that will have you questioning why you ever stopped listening to them in the first place. On the track "Bank Holiday Monday," lead singer Kelly Jones croons about the mundanity of everyday life over catchy guitar riffs and driving drums. It's the perfect soundtrack for those days when you're stuck in traffic or waiting in line at the grocery store, wishing you were anywhere but there. But don't be fooled, Stereophonics haven't lost their edge. Tracks like "It Means Nothing" and "Daisy Lane" pack a punch with their raw energy and emotional lyrics.
