Our Take
Ah, GHOST. The Swedish rockers with a penchant for the macabre and a knack for infectiously catchy tunes. Their latest EP, "Popestar" (Milky Clear Vinyl) (Indies), showcases their trademark blend of theatricality and metal in a concise and satisfying package. The record kicks off with the anthemic "Square Hammer," a track that is sure to get even the most stoic of listeners nodding along. Frontman Papa Emeritus III's distinctive vocals soar over the driving guitars and heavy drums, creating a sound that is simultaneously menacing and irresistible.
